Is there a Flighty for Android? What to use instead (2026)

Short answer: no. Flighty is iPhone and iPad only, and its own website says an Android version is not in its immediate plans.
On Android, the closest alternatives are Wheels Up, Aviate and Flights25. All three track your own flights, send gate and delay alerts, and can track the plane flying in for your flight, the feature Flighty is best known for.
Full disclosure: I build Wheels Up, one of the apps on this list. I built it because I'm an Android user who wanted Flighty and couldn't have it. Below is what Flighty actually does, why it isn't coming to Android, and how the Android options compare, including where the others are better.
Why Flighty isn't on Android
Flighty explains it on its own Android waitlist page. Part of the app's appeal comes from deep integration with iOS, so an Android version would mean rebuilding it rather than copying it across. As a small team, it would rather do one platform well than split its focus. You can join the waitlist to hear if that changes, but there's no date.
What people actually want from Flighty
Most people searching for "Flighty for Android" want three things:
- Alerts before the airline. Flighty's headline feature is warning you about delays before the airline announces them. A big part of how flight apps do this is watching the plane that's flying in to operate your flight.
- Every flight in one place, whichever airline you're on, instead of a different app per airline.
- A clean, ad-free app that's pleasant to use at a gate.
All three Android apps below cover these, in different ways and at different prices.

Wheels Up
Best for: connecting flights, and anyone who wants inbound plane alerts without a free/paid split.
Wheels Up works out which aircraft will fly your flight from its tail number, then tracks it on its earlier flights that day. If it's running 15 minutes or more late, you get an alert, often before your departure time changes. When you land on a connection, it rates the layover from relaxed to rushed, using live times. It also sends gate, delay and plane-swap alerts, lets you scan your boarding pass into the app, and lets family follow your flight. How the inbound alerts work.
The catch: there's no free tier after the 14-day trial, and no widgets or calendar sync yet.
Aviate
Best for: people who want a free tier, widgets or a watch app.
Aviate launched on Google Play in July 2026 and calls itself the Android answer to Flighty. Its free tier includes flight status, gate and delay alerts, boarding passes, widgets and calendar sync. Inbound plane tracking ("Where's My Plane"), live notifications and indoor airport maps need Pro. Wheels Up vs Aviate in detail.
The catch: the features closest to Flighty are behind Pro.
Flights25
Best for: households with both Android phones and iPhones.
Flights25 is on both platforms, so everyone in the family can use the same app. Its premium tier adds live updates, inbound flight monitoring, and email and calendar sync.
The catch: the free tier shows ads, and inbound tracking needs premium.
Which should you pick?

Questions people ask
Will Flighty ever come to Android?
Maybe one day, but not soon. Flighty's own Android page says it has no immediate plans, because it would mean rebuilding the app from the ground up. You can join its Android waitlist to hear if that changes.
Can I use Flighty on Android through a browser?
No. Flighty is built for iPhone and iPad, and there's no Android or web version for tracking your own flights. To track flights on an Android phone, you need an Android app.
What's the cheapest Flighty alternative on Android?
Aviate has a free tier with flight status, gate and delay alerts and boarding passes. If you want inbound plane tracking, Aviate Pro and Wheels Up are both $39.99 a year in the US, against Flighty's $59.99 on iPhone.
Does Flightradar24 do the same thing as Flighty?
Not quite. Flightradar24 shows every plane in the sky on a map. Flighty and its Android alternatives are built around your own trips: alerts, gates, connections and the plane flying in for your flight.
